There was a standing-room turnout of residents at the LARMAC public board meeting Wednesday to voice optinions and urge LARMAC to take action. Six residents spoke in favor of holding the Taste of Ladera at Founder's Park, while one resident, who lives across from Founder's Park, said she wants the event moved because of the noise. In the meantime, votes continue to trickle in on the unscientific poll below, designed to get a sense of whether or not the residents of Ladera Ranch want the annual Taste of Ladera to continue as a two- or one-day event at Founder's Park or scalled back to a one-day event at Town Green.
As of noon Friday, the poll had received a total of 238 votes -- 172, or 72%, want a two-day event at Founder's Park; 38 or 16% want it scaled back to a one-day event at Town Green, and 28 or 12% would prefer a one-day event at Founder's Park. When combined with those who want a two-day event at Founder's Park, the total comes to 190 votes or 84%. While the poll is unscientific, it was vetted to eliminate bias in the questions, and does show an substantial trend for the event to be held at Foundert's Park.
