LaderaPortal endorses Jeff Blugrind's candidacy in the LARMAC Board of Directors elections.
Jeff Blugrind, or "Daddio" as he is known here on LaderaPortal has been a key
supporter of the issues that have mattered most to those of us at LaderaPortal.
As a current LARMAC Officer (non-voting), he has been engaged in addressing
issues with Cox, LaderaLife and LARCS. Not all of these are obviously
LARMAC functions, but Jeff knows where the boundaries are and he is keenly aware
of how to best address the issues at hand.
Jeff has significant prior experience as an HOA Board President in Aliso
Viejo, and we believe that at nearly 20,000 population, it is essential to have
Directors on the Board that are not only well versed in the issues affecting the
community, but also have the practical experience that comes from past
leadership.
As a resident, Jeff was instrumental in bringing the attention of the LARMAC Board to the
issues surrounding LaderaLife. He put together a presentation at a LARMAC board meetingon February 9 of this year that helped the Board understand that there
were some significant financial and technical issues that needed to be overcome. Jeff opened the discusssion with a comparison of technologies that have changed over time and then introduced me to the Board to give a presentration about how Michael Webster and I put together LaderaUnderground (now LaderaPortal).
While it has been a painfully slow process to get LARCS Board to move on the
issue of LaderaLife, we may not be anywhere, were it not for Jeff's efforts.
Jeff takes a great degree of personal pride in his service to the community.
His efforts, together with Bill O'Hair gave us a fantastic Independence
Day celebration, "Ladera Rocks". He's been involved and knowledgeable in
many of the key areas of Ladera Ranch governance and administration.
