 Sunday, August 15 marks the return ofthe Ladera Ranch Grand Prix of Cycling for it's third time. Theannual bicycle race is a circuit around central Ladera Ranchsacnctioned by USA Cycling. It draws riders from all over SouthernCalifornia. The course circles Founder's Park in avery short 0.7 mile track with four high-speed corners and cashprizes of up to $1,999.00 will be awarded to the top professionalcategory riders. Entry fees range from $25 to $35depending on category and riders can sign up at www.socalreg.com.Online registration closes August 13 at 9:00PM. Proceeds from the race will be sharedequally by the Tinkerbelle Guid of CHOC and by the Bahati Foundation. ROAD CLOSURES: The roads surrounding Founder's Park,including part of Sienna Parkway, will be closed from approximately5:00AM to 5:00PM on Sunday, August 15. Signs marking the roadclosures will be in place for several days prior to the event, andlocal residents will need to make arrangements to detour and avoidthe area.
